MANY OUTSTANDING RESULTS

In the 2015-2020 term, Nghi Loc district's economy developed comprehensively in all fields, with a high growth rate, the economic structure shifted in the right direction, Nghi Loc gradually became a dynamic and key economic development area of ​​the province.

Economic growth rate in the period 2015 - 2020 is estimated at 12.53%; Total production value in 2020 is estimated at 17,596 billion VND; Economic structure shifts towards rapidly increasing the proportion of industry - construction, reducing the proportion of agriculture - forestry - fishery.

Agricultural production has developed quite well, with a growth rate of 3.29%/year. Construction industry has developed rapidly, with a growth rate of 18.85%/year. In the period of 2015 - 2020, 47 projects were approved for investment with a total registered capital of over 8,000 billion VND.

Budget revenue in the district in 2019 reached over 1,850 billion VND, accounting for 13.7% of the total budget revenue in the province. Infrastructure continues to be completed. Land use and environmental resource management are gradually being put into order. Site clearance work is being focused on and directed resolutely.

Culture and society have improved, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. The rate of schools meeting national standards reached 88%, exceeding the target of the Congress Resolution by 8%. Health care, population and health care for the people have achieved good results. National defense and security have been maintained, social order and safety are stable.

Party building work has had many positive changes and achieved important results. The management and operation efficiency of the State apparatus has been increasingly improved. The role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations has been promoted.

STRIVE TO BECOME A FAST AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPING DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE

Term 2020 - 2025, Nghi LocStriving to become one of the fastest and comprehensively developing districts of the province. To achieve the above goal, Nghi Loc District Party Committee has set out 6 key tasks and 3 development breakthroughs.

Specifically, coordinate the development and implementation of the province's master plan for socio-economic development in the 2021-2030 period; strengthen foreign affairs and attract investment; mobilize resources well to build synchronous and gradually modern socio-economic infrastructure to meet integration and development requirements.

Resolutely carry out administrative reforms; build a team of cadres and civil servants who understand the job, have skills, working methods and a spirit of serving the people. Promote the application of science and technology in production and life. Pay attention to developing human resources, especially high-quality human resources, to meet the requirements of comprehensive development in the area.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council praised the great achievements that the Party Committee and people of Nghi Loc district have achieved in the past term and said that these achievements have contributed significantly to the overall development of the province.

Assessing that Nghi Loc is in the growth pole of the province, the district has been implementing many important economic development projects and programs, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the tasks set for the Party Committee and people of Nghi Loc in the 2020 - 2025 term are very heavy and enormous.

In the coming term, he suggested that Nghi Loc needs to develop and complete the planning of Nghi Loc, taking into account close connection, interconnection, and articulation with Vinh city, Cua Lo town, and the Southern Nghe An - Northern Ha Tinh region, in order to promote advantages to achieve the goal of becoming a district with rapid and comprehensive development.

Focus on directing agricultural development towards the application of high technology, green technology, efficiency and sustainability. Focus on building advanced, exemplary new rural areas; constantly improve people's lives. Focus on developing the marine economy and related services and tourism.

Take care of training and fostering human resources, especially high-quality human resources to meet the human resource requirements of projects and factories deployed in the area, for the Southeast Economic Zone, industrial parks and the requirements of the high-quality labor market inside and outside the province.

Assessing Nghi Loc as a locality prone to complex security and order issues, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the district to proactively assess, forecast, and grasp the situation, ensure national defense and security, build a solid defense zone; maintain political security and social order and safety.

A key and decisive task is the work of Party building and the building of the political system.
