The first session of the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 6, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, the preparatory meeting of the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress took place.

Attending the preparatory session of the Congress were comrades: Nguyen Thi Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council; Nguyen Thien Nhan - Member of the Politburo, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council; Tran Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Permanent Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee.

Attending the event were 2,000 delegates, including 200 invited delegates and 1,800 delegates who are outstanding examples in all fields from 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Party and State leaders attended and directed the preparatory session.

At the preparatory session, delegates were informed about the program and regulations of the Congress; and heard an introduction to the composition, number and structure of delegates attending the Congress.

Comrade Tran Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Permanent Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, on behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee, disseminated important contents in the program and regulations of the Congress.

The 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress will take place over two days, December 6 and 7. After the preparatory session, this afternoon (December 6), delegates will attend a ceremony to commend and honor outstanding groups and individuals in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and participate in an exchange between advanced models in the patriotic emulation movements in the period 2011-2015.

On December 7, the Congress entered its opening session with many important contents. In addition to the main contents of the Congress, there will be many other activities such as a photo exhibition about Uncle Ho and the patriotic emulation movement, cultural and artistic activities, film screenings, etc.

This year's Congress has the participation of 125 delegations. Of the 2,000 delegates, 138 are Chairmen of the Emulation and Reward Councils of ministries, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front, central organizations, provinces and centrally-run cities; 167 delegates are representatives of collectives and individuals awarded the title of "Labor Hero", "Hero of the People's Armed Forces"; 101 delegates are "National Emulation Fighters" and 1,394 delegates are representatives of typical and outstanding collectives and individuals in the fields of politics, economics, society, national defense, security, diplomacy, etc.

Also in the preparatory session, the Congress approved the list of the Presidium of 35 comrades and the Secretary of 3 comrades, approved the opening ceremony ceremonies, and fully prepared and was ready to ensure the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress took place successfully.
