On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), on the afternoon of February 25, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province led by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and congratulated doctors, nurses and workers of Quynh Luu District General Hospital, Hoang Mai Medical Center, and Northwest Regional General Hospital.
The delegation included comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Health; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee Office.
Quynh Luu District General Hospital is recognized as a grade II general hospital, district level, level II autonomy in regular expenditure, scale of 355 planned beds, 428 actual beds. Including 19 departments, rooms, 344 officers, civil servants and workers.
Quynh Luu District General Hospital performs the task of examining and treating over 280,000 people in the district and neighboring areas. In addition, the Hospital also coordinates with agencies and units on epidemic prevention and control.
In 2024, the Hospital received 165,684 medical examinations, reaching 134.7%; treated over 23,500 patients; bed capacity reached 102.2%, with a total of 5,195 surgeries.
Congratulating the staff, doctors, nurses and workers of Quynh Luu District General Hospital, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged and praised the achievements of the staff, doctors, nurses and medical staff of the unit. The Northwest Regional General Hospital is recognized as a provincial-level, grade I general hospital with an important position and role in the care, protection, examination and treatment of people in the Northwest region; ensuring autonomy at level II of regular expenditure, with a scale of 575 planned beds and 898 actual beds. The hospital has 28 departments, rooms, 1 center; 632 officers, civil servants and employees, performing the task of examining and treating people in the Northwest region of the province and neighboring areas. In addition, the hospital also coordinates with agencies, units, and medical centers of localities and neighboring areas on epidemic prevention and control.
In 2024, the Hospital received 239,586 patients for examination and treatment, treated over 52,200 patients, exceeding the annual plan, bed capacity reached 130.8%, and the total number of surgeries was 9,460.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hoped that each cadre, doctor, and medical staff of the Hospital would continuously study, improve their skills, professional qualifications, and medical ethics. Implement well the professional regulations and codes of conduct of the health sector, and promote the professionalism of medical staff.
