Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee: "There is no success without sweat and tears"

(Baonghean.vn) - These are the heartfelt words of comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Student Association of Nghe An province, term 2018 - 2023.

Attending were comrade Nguyen Minh Triet - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Union's School Youth Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Vietnam Student Association.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province; Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; PhamTuan Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; representatives of leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Youth Union, leaders of universities and colleges and 250 delegates.

Over the past 5 years, Nghe An Provincial Student Association has proactively and actively implemented synchronous solutions to gather, orient and accompany students.

The "5 Good Students" movement has developed strongly, creating an environment for students to practice and strive comprehensively in all aspects.

During the 2013-2018 term, 179 students and 1 group were honored with the title "5 Good Students" at the provincial level; 670 students and 30 groups were honored with the title "5 Good Students" at the school level; 6 students were honored with the title "5 Good Students" at the central level.

Activities to orient values, ethics, and lifestyles are organized regularly and widely, always leading in the number of students participating in the Olympic Competition on Marxist-Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology "Light of the way" in 2015 and 2017. The development of clubs, teams, groups, and scientific research at the facility is identified as a key task, helping students gain knowledge, understanding, and courage to study well.

In addition, volunteer activities according to the program and on-site campaigns attract thousands of students to participate, creating a healthy playground, helping students experience, practice, and supplement necessary skills.

Speaking at the congress, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that this is an important political event for students studying in Nghe An province and receives special attention from the Central Committee of the Association.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet suggested that in the coming time, the Student Association must create new developments, affirm its role in widely gathering, orienting, leading and being a reliable companion of students, actively participating in building Nghe An to become a prosperous province in the North.

The Congress also approved a report on the direction of activities for the 2018-2023 term with the slogan "Nghe An students overcome difficulties - create - volunteer - integrate and develop".

The Congress set out 8 key targets and elected 27 members of the Provincial Student Association Executive Committee for the 2018-2023 term. Comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union was elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Nghe An province, term III.
