Attending and directing the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of Party building committees and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

At the conference, delegates listened to reports and discussed the results achieved in all aspects of work in the first 9 months of 2018. In recent times, Tuong Duong district has experienced complicated weather and epidemics, with heat waves, hail, tornadoes, storms, floods, and landslides occurring continuously. In particular, the flood discharge from hydroelectric plants on August 30-31, 2018 greatly affected the production and business life of the people (total estimated damage of 114,523 billion VND).

However, with the efforts and determination of all levels, sectors and people of the whole district, the socio-economic, defense and security situation in the first 9 months of the year achieved many positive results. Total production value reached 78.6% of the plan, up 9.7% over the same period in 2017. Budget revenue is estimated at 94.7% of the provincial estimate, up 13.6% over the same period in 2017. Jobs were created for 2,550 workers, reaching 300% of the plan. Social security is regularly concerned...

At the conference, the District Party Executive Committee seriously pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations in the first 9 months of the year such as: Some socio-economic indicators are likely to not meet the set plan; Illegal mineral exploitation is still occurring; The number of students dropping out of school is still high; The rate of labor export has not met the plan; Some pressing social issues have not been completely resolved; Discipline and administrative discipline in some units are not good.

The District Party Executive Committee highly agreed with the 11 key tasks and solutions for the last 3 months of 2018 that the District People's Committee had presented, in order to continue to organize and achieve the highest results in the planned targets of 2018.

At the meeting of the District Party Executive Committee on the morning of September 27, implementing the personnel work process under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the conference organized a vote to elect an additional Secretary of the District Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
