Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers and families of martyrs.

On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2019), on the morning of July 16, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by comrade Nguyen Van Thong visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and martyrs' families in Nghi Loc district and Vinh city. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors.

The delegation visited the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District. The Center was established in 1974 and is a unit implementing military rear policy with the task of receiving, nursing, and treating war invalids. Currently, the Center is caring for nearly 67 war invalids and seriously ill soldiers from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

Over the years, the Center has always fulfilled its assigned tasks well; devotedly caring for, nursing, rehabilitating, and implementing policies and regimes for seriously wounded and sick soldiers.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts at the Nghe An Mental Health Nursing Center located in Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district - which is currently caring for 99 wounded and sick soldiers.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and sick soldiers for the cause of national liberation; at the same time, encouraged them to try to maintain their health, overcome difficulties to live happily and healthily.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong thanked the team of doctors and nurses for their efforts to overcome difficult conditions and provide dedicated and thoughtful care to the wounded and sick soldiers.

To better carry out the work of caring for wounded and sick soldiers, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the medical team to continue to perform well the work of treatment, rehabilitation, and provide dedicated and thoughtful care to stabilize the health, ensure nutrition, and improve the physical condition of wounded and sick soldiers; and seriously, fully, and promptly implement the regimes and policies of the Party and State for wounded and sick soldiers.

Also in the morning, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Mother Ngo Thi Nhien, in Trung Do ward, Vinh city - mother of martyr Vo Viet Thanh who died in the resistance war against the US; Mr. Nguyen Khanh Nha, a 4/4 war invalid, who was infected with toxic chemicals in Tan Vinh block, Le Mao ward, Vinh city, all 3 of his children were infected with toxic chemicals.

At the families he visited, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his sincere gratitude, and at the same time kindly asked about their health and shared the difficulties of the families.
