Vice President of the National Assembly meets with leaders of the Japanese House of Representatives and the Senate
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu was pleased with the good development of the extensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
Continuing his visit to Japan, this afternoon (July 4), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu and the Vietnamese National Assembly delegation met with Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives - Mr. Tadamori Oshima, Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives Tatsuo Kawabata and Vice Chairman of the Senate Gunji Akira.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu expressed his delight at the good development of the extensive strategic cooperation between the two countries, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the visit to Vietnam by Speaker of the House of Representatives Tadamori Oshima earlier this year, which contributed to the overall development of the bilateral relationship, and welcomed the valuable cooperation of the Japanese House of Councilors in recent times.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu hopes that the Japanese House of Representatives and the Senate will continue to cooperate closely with the Vietnamese National Assembly to contribute to the common development of the two countries and the region.
Leaders of the Japanese House of Representatives and the Senate welcomed the visit to Japan of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu and his delegation, were pleased with the development of bilateral relations, and hoped that people-to-people and political exchange activities would continue to develop within the framework of the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
House of Representatives Speaker Tadamori Oshima and Senate Vice President Gunji Akira affirmed that the visit to Vietnam by the Japanese King and Queen earlier this year has become a good symbol of the relationship between the two countries.
In particular, in 2018, the two countries will celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations, so the contribution of the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Japanese bicameral parliament to this event is very important. Furthermore, Vietnam will also host the 26th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Union Forum, and Japan highly appreciates Vietnam's role in this forum.
Leaders of the Japanese House of Representatives and the Senate emphasized that the visit to Japan by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu and the Vietnamese National Assembly delegation will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries' parliaments.
After the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu and the delegation visited the meeting room of the Japanese bicameral parliament.
