(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 29, the Central working delegation led by Comrade Tong Thi Phong - Politburo member, Vice President of the National Assembly, offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs' Cemetery.

Also attending, on the Central side, were comrade Ha Ngoc Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council; Nguyen Van Tuyet - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children; Party Central Committee members: Phan Dinh Trac - Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Ho Duc Phoc - State Auditor General.

The Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery is located in the center of Anh Son district, covering an area of ​​6.8 hectares, gathering 10,367 graves of martyrs, Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the battlefield in Laos. Of these, only about 3,500 graves have names and hometowns, the rest are unknown.

Con Cuong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities was established under Decision No. 3731/QD/UBND, dated August 26, 2013 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. It is a specialized school managed by the Department of Education and Training with an important political task - creating human resources for ethnic minority areas.

In the 2016-2017 school year, the school had 12 classes with 299 students; including 277 Thai ethnic students, 7 Dan Lai ethnic students, 1 Tho ethnic student; 102 male students and 197 female students, from 11 disadvantaged communes, villages and hamlets in Con Cuong district.

The school's staff consists of 3 officers and 19 teachers. Last school year, 99.55% of students achieved good and excellent academic performance.
