Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee offered incense at the Railway Martyrs Cemetery and Rocket Cave
(Baonghean.vn) - The working delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Bui Dinh Long came to offer flowers and incense at the Railway Martyrs Cemetery, Rocket Cave and visited and gave gifts to a number of policy families.
On the afternoon of July 22, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee led by Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee came to offer flowers and incense at the Railway Cemetery, Rocket Cave, visit and present gifts to families of outstanding meritorious people in Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town.

The delegation included representatives of the Provincial People's Council Office, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, the Department of Transport, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; leaders of Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town.
During the war against the US, Rocket Cave was called Group 4 Cave, and was a shelter for railway workers and youth volunteers on duty to ensure traffic in the Hoang Mai area. On April 28, 1966, American aircraft fired missiles into the cave, causing all 33 railway workers and youth volunteers on duty to heroically sacrifice their lives...

The Railway Martyrs Cemetery is the resting place of railway workers and youth volunteers who died on April 28, 1966. In 2011, Rocket Cave and the Railway Cemetery were recognized as National Historical Sites by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Offering flowers and incense at the Rocket Cave and the Railway Martyrs Cemetery, comrade Bui Dinh Long and members of the delegation expressed their respect and gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices for independence and freedom of the heroic martyrs.
At the same time, I promise to constantly strive to study, work, be creative and contribute to building my homeland and country to be more and more prosperous and beautiful, worthy of the noble sacrifice of the fallen heroes.

Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to two families with outstanding contributions in Hoang Mai town, Mr. Ho Ngoc Hau (born in 1964) in Quyet Tien village (Quynh Phuong ward) and Mr. Nguyen Van May (born in 1968) in Thanh Cong village (Quynh Lien commune). Mr. Hau and Mr. May are both 4/4 war invalids and shining examples in the community.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Quynh Luu district, namely Mother Nguyen Thi Deo (born in 1918) in Hamlet 6 (Quynh Chau) and Mother Nguyen Thi Trou (born in 1928) in Hamlet 4 (Quynh Chau). Mother Deo and Mother Trou both had two children who were martyrs and are now old and weak. Mother Deo depends on her children and grandchildren for her daily activities.
