Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the planning of school network in Ky Son district.

March 16,Comrade Bui Dinh Long- The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee together with leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Planning and Investment, Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, and Department of Finance inspected the implementation of the education development network planning, arrangement of facilities and teaching equipment at schools, school locations, and the implementation of educational policies in Ky Son district.

In the morning, the delegation inspected the teaching conditions and related contents at the Primary School and the Ethnic Minority Secondary School of Chieu Luu Commune, and the Boarding Primary School of Huu Kiem Commune, Ky Son District. These are schools located along Highway 7 but the school facilities are still difficult, especially the organization ofboarding, buildNational Standard Schooland implement the new general education program of schools.

In addition, some schools currently have many satellite schools in addition to the main campus, so merging schools and classes is difficult due to insufficient facilities, classrooms and other related conditions.

For example, Chieu Luu Primary School, which has met the National Standard Level 1, has not yet organized boarding for students. Therefore, if the students are merged into the main school, parents will not be assured because the daily commute for the children will be very difficult.

In the afternoon, the delegation inspected teaching and learning activities and boarding organization at Muong Long 2 Ethnic Minority Primary School, Muong Long 1 Ethnic Minority Secondary School, and Muong Long Ethnic Minority Secondary School.

Muong Long 2 Ethnic Minority Primary School is located in a particularly difficult area. Currently, the school has more than 70 students staying in temporary boarding rooms. However, thanks to the boarding model, all students from grades 3 to 5 have been able to study at the main school. These are schools located in remote areas, with especially difficult conditions, with nearly 100% of students being Mong ethnic people.

Here, through understanding information about the school, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of teachers, especially more than 60% of teachers in remote areas who have made efforts, tried hard, and overcome difficulties to do a good job of teaching literacy and people to students who are children of ethnic minorities.

Faced with difficulties in merging separate schools and organizing boarding school models, especially for primary school students, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long suggested that the Education sector and related sectors need to carefully review the current situation of each school.

On that basis, synthesize, report and promptly advise on recommendations and proposals to be included in the investment plan, prioritize construction and procurement of facilities in the coming time. At the same time, develop a specific plan to gradually re-plan.school networkto suit local conditions but also meet the requirements of teaching innovation according to the 2018 General Education Program.
