Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam: The Party and State respectfully acknowledge the contributions of parishioners.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 16, visiting and presenting gifts to the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province on the occasion of Christmas 2017, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam affirmed: "The Party and State respectfully acknowledge and sincerely thank the contributions of Catholics in the process of building and defending the Fatherland."
Also present were representatives of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs. On the side of Nghe An province were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.
Receiving the Deputy Prime Minister and the delegation was Priest Nguyen Dang Dien - Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province.

At the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that in 2017, with the great efforts and determination of the entire Party and people, our country has achieved very comprehensive results. In particular, all growth targets were achieved and exceeded compared to the same period, Vietnam's position in the international arena was increasingly affirmed; at the same time, the building of great national unity and solidarity among religions was carried out very well.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that in the country's common achievements, there are positive contributions from Catholics in general and Nghe An Catholics in particular.
Comrade Vu Duc Dam affirmed: "The Party and State respectfully acknowledge and sincerely thank the contributions of the parishioners for all those contributions, including the leading role of bishops, priests and especially the role of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province."
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that dignitaries, priests and Catholics in Nghe An province will continue to preserve and strengthen the great national unity bloc, contributing with the entire Party and people to build an increasingly prosperous, democratic, fair and civilized country with the spirit of "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation".
Thanking the Party and State for their attention, Father Nguyen Dang Dien - Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province said that Catholics will continue to implement the motto of living a good life, following their religion, respecting God, loving their country, promoting the tradition of solidarity between religions and non-religious people, and joining hands to build an increasingly developed country.

Next, Comrade Vu Duc Dam and the delegation visited Lam Bich Private Kindergarten (Hamlet 5, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City). Here, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and praised the teaching staff in teaching and learning.
The Deputy Prime Minister also visited and presented gifts to the family of parishioner Luong Cong Chinh, Kim An parish, Nghi An commune, Vinh city.
Acknowledging the contributions of parishioners in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped that Mr. Luong Cong Chinh's family in particular and parishioners in general would continue to stick together and accompany the local Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the area to contribute to building the homeland to develop in all aspects.
