(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 30, comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister offered incense at the memorial house of comrade Phan Dang Luu, Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Comrade Phan Dang Luu was born on May 5, 1902 in a patriotic Confucian family in Trang Thanh commune, now Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.
Early awakening to the revolution, he was a staunch soldier in the patriotic movement against French colonialism and became an outstanding revolutionary predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He had many merits and contributions, together with the Party Central Committee, leading the revolutionary cause through difficult periods, especially the period 1936-1940. Comrade Phan Dang Luu was sentenced to death by the French colonialists on August 26, 1941 in Hoc Mon - Gia Dinh.
On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2017), towards the 115th anniversary of the birth of revolutionary predecessor Phan Dang Luu (May 5, 1902 - May 5, 2017), on the morning of April 30, comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister offered incense at the Phan Dang Luu Memorial House, Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Voice of Vietnam; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. |
Expressing their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Phan Dang Luu, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and the comrades in the delegation pledged to constantly strive and train; to remain loyal to the communist ideal, to make every effort to serve the Fatherland, serve the people, and build the country to be increasingly prosperous and strong.
Next, the delegation went to the Square and Monument of Comrade Phan Dang Luu in Yen Thanh town to lay a wreath and plant a memorial tree.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue visited Phan Dang Luu hamlet, Hoa Thanh commune to visit and present gifts to Mr. Phan Dang Thanh (94 years old), a pre-uprising cadre, former Chief Prosecutor of Military Region 4; Mr. Nguyen Cong The (87 years old), a 1/4 war invalid, and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ly.
With kind greetings and encouragement, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue wished the elders to always live happily and healthily, and to always be a shining example for their children and grandchildren to follow.

On the occasion of visiting Yen Thanh district, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue hoped that the Party Committee, government and people of the district would continue to promote the traditions of their homeland, uphold the spirit of solidarity and unity, step up patriotic emulation movements, develop the economy and society, and strive to become a new rural district as soon as possible.
