On the evening of April 29, at Binh Minh Square (Cua Lo town), Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2018 with the theme "Cua Lo: Convergence and Shine".

Cua Lo Tourism Festival originated from Cua Lo River Festival - the annual opening of sea tourism. This is the festival that opens the southern fishing season for fishermen in Nghe An in general and Cua Lo in particular; it is also an occasion for people to commemorate the merits of their predecessors, to commemorate the heroic and undaunted tradition, the heroic years of fighting foreign invaders to protect the country of the people in Cua Lo coastal area.

Currently, the festival is an annual activity held to honor traditional cultural values; at the same time to introduce the tourism potential of the land and people of Cua Lo, opening the sea tourism season in the most attractive coastal area of ​​Nghe An.

(Baonghean.vn) - Despite the rainy weather, thousands of tourists are still flocking to Cua Lo town before the opening of the tourism festival. Many people experience swimming in the sea when it rains.

Over the years, Cua Lo tourism has developed steadily, becoming famous for its clean beaches, friendly and hospitable people, and unique cuisine. In the 2017 tourist season, the total number of visitors to Cua Lo town reached more than 2.4 million, reaching 136% of the plan; of which, the number of overnight guests reached more than 1.4 million, 5,500 foreign visitors; revenue from service and tourism activities reached 2,280 billion VND, reaching 139.6% of the plan.
