In 2017, under the regular and close leadership and direction of the Party and State, directly by the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and local Party committees and authorities, the Public Security and Military forces at all levels coordinated to prevent terrorism, disturbances, demonstrations and riots; effectively handled complicated cases of public order and safety; absolutely protected the security and safety of key targets and important political, cultural and foreign affairs events.

The work of exchanging, coordinating inspection and verifying information between the Police and Military forces at all levels has been increasingly strengthened, helping the two forces grasp, analyze, evaluate and accurately forecast the situation, promptly advise the Party, State, Party committees and authorities at all levels to issue policies and solutions to ensure security and order and carry out national defense tasks in each locality.

In the field of crime prevention and control, the two forces have coordinated to develop and implement plans and strategies to combat crime, especially drug crimes, human trafficking, smuggling, etc.

Implement well the management of weapons, explosives, and support tools; coordinate residence management, inspection, and guidance on fire prevention and fighting safety, and strengthen traffic safety assurance.

At the conference, representatives of leaders of units and localities presented many opinions and proposed specific directions and tasks to further improve the effectiveness of coordination between the two forces.

At Nghe An bridge, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the content of the work of directing, coordinating, synchronously and resolutely implementing and resolving complicated cases of security and order related to religion in Nghe An province between the two forces.

In 2017, Nghe An Provincial Police prosecuted 7 reactionary and opposition subjects who were core members of reactionary organizations and henchmen of extremist dignitaries in Catholicism; investigated and clarified many particularly serious cases, creating trust among the masses.

Concluding the conference, on behalf of the leaders of the two Ministries, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam - Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged the opinions of the delegates at the conference. At the same time, he affirmed: To improve the effectiveness of coordination, the two forces continue to unite, cooperate, and closely coordinate to resolutely protect internal politics, fight and defeat all plots and sabotage tricks of hostile and reactionary forces; protect the Party, State, and regime; protect the people, maintain political security, social order and safety, and national sovereignty and territory./.
