Blockade of 8 departments and centers of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital to fight the epidemic
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An General Hospital has locked down 8 departments and centers. From November 5, Nghe An General Hospital is only allowed to receive emergency patients for treatment. Discharged patients are required to monitor their health at home for 7 days.
On the evening of November 4, the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center and the Nghe An Department of Health continued to hold an urgent meeting with the General Hospital of Friendship.Nghe An.
Previously, in the morning of the same day, the leaders of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center and the Department of Health also had a working session with the hospital, directing solutions to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic when F0 cases appeared in 2 departments of the hospital (announced on November 1 and November 4, 2021).

The first F0 case is patient T.D.T, male, 48 years old, permanent residence in Quynh Luu district. Patient T.D.T was admitted to the Department of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery for treatment on October 26. On November 1, the patient tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. On November 4, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
The second F0 case is patient TQM, male, 71 years old, permanent residence in Que Phong district. Patient TQM was admitted to the Department of Endocrinology for treatment on October 21. On November 1, the patient tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. On November 4, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Immediately after detecting 2 new F0 cases, Nghe An General Hospital conducted zoning, disinfection spraying, distancing, tracing F1, F2 and taking samples for testing. Thereby, the Hospital has temporarily identified 55 F1 cases of these 2 F0.
At the urgent meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center, Director of Nghe An Department of Health requested Nghe An General Hospital to lock down 8 departments and centers located from the 4th to 7th floors of the 7-story hospital building to prevent and control the epidemic. Departments from the 3rd floor down must strictly implement regulations on epidemic prevention.
The departments and centers that have been locked down include: Department of Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Cardiology 2, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurology, Rehabilitation and a part of the Stroke Center... The lockdown period is 7 days, to thoroughly implement epidemic prevention and control measures.

From November 5, Nghe An General Hospital is only allowed to receive emergency patients for treatment. The hospital must arrange a "clean area" to receive emergency patients when they come in for treatment. Outpatient examination activities are still taking place normally, but must strictly ensure compliance with regulations on epidemic prevention...
The Department of Health and the Hospital shall notify the local authorities about the discharged patients. Patients from Nghe An General Hospital upon their return must immediately notify the local authorities; monitor their health at home for 7 days, and have their samples tested on the 7th day.
Medical staff working at the hospital must practice “3 on-site”, minimize contact and travel, and use information technology to discuss work. The hospital must immediately stop using elevators and non-essential activities in the hospital.
Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh stated: The hospital must create the best conditions, ensuring food and drink for staff, employees, patients, and patients' relatives in the blockaded area; arrange free meals and drinks for patients in difficult circumstances. If there is a lack of service personnel, the hospital will propose additional forces to support necessities and meals.
On this occasion, the Department of Health decided to support 30 million VND for patients who are on the day of discharge but cannot return home because they are in the hospital's blockaded area./.
