According to Oriental medicine, both soles of the feet contain many acupuncture points, each of which corresponds to a different part of the body.

That is why since ancient times, humans have known how to press foot reflexology to treat many diseases.

In the famous medical classic “Huangdi Neijing”, this treatment method is also mentioned. Therefore, the foot is considered the second heart of the body.

In modern medicine today, the Foria International Reflexology Research Institute (USA) has also conducted in-depth research on foot reflexology therapy.

Scientists also say that each foot has up to 7,000 nerve endings and have proven the connection between acupuncture points on the surface of the foot and organs in the body.

In Oriental medicine, the treatment of diseases by nerve reflexes is based on the theory of yin and yang and the theory of meridians. The theory of meridians shows that there are 6 meridians on each foot (3 yang meridians and 3 yin meridians).

The left foot represents the left side of the body, including the heart, left kidney, lungs, and spleen. The right foot represents the right side of the body, including the liver, gallbladder, right kidney, and appendix.

The mechanism of action of the foot reflexology method is that when we act on the reflex areas (acupuncture points), it will create a functional regulatory response to the corresponding organs, helping to improve blood circulation in the painful area.

Thanks to that, when applied to these reflex areas, it has the ability to prevent and cure diseases as desired.

Below is an introduction to an Indian traditional remedy for preventing strokes and apoplexies that has been applied with unexpected results.

The ingredients of the remedy include

- Main ingredients: 10g almonds, 10g gardenia fruit, 10g peach seed, 10g star anise, 5g cinnamon. These ingredients are ground into a fine powder and mixed well (buy at a Chinese medicine store).

- Additional medicinal ingredients: 10 grains of yellow sticky rice, 10 grains of white pepper. 1 egg white (as solvent).

- How to prepare and use: Finely grind 10 glutinous rice grains and 10 peppercorns, then mix well with the 5 finely ground medicinal herbs above.

After kneading (mixing) all the ingredients together, put them in a new, clean, chemical-free plastic bag (Polyethylene) and apply it to the middle of the sole of the foot (ie the Yongquan point).

Then take a medical bandage and wrap it around many times so that the medicine is close to the Yongquan point and does not leak out. Apply the medicine in the late afternoon (around 5 or 6 pm) and leave it overnight until the next morning to remove it.
