Porsche starts selling Macan version 2.0 in Vietnam

Starting from June 2016, Porsche Vietnam will accept orders for the Macan at the same time as the German and European markets. The standard price, including import tax, special consumption tax and value added tax, is VND 3 billion 32 million.

Porsche continues to expand its small SUV range with the introduction of the entry-level Porsche Macan. The Macan is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine designed specifically for the sports car segment of the SUV segment.

The new Macan's 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 252 hp (185 kW) at 5,000 – 6,000 rpm and is equipped with the same 7-speed PDK as the other Macan models. The result: an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds, and with the optional Sport Chrono package this is reduced to just 6.5 seconds. The top speed is 229 km/h. Fuel consumption in the new Macan is also very economical. Depending on the choice of rims and tyres, consumption is between 7.4 and 7.2 litres per 100 km according to the European Fuel Economy and Emissions Regulation (NEDC).

Four-cylinder turbocharged sports

The in-line four-cylinder engine has been specially designed for sportiness and high performance. It works with two turbochargers, charge air cooling, direct injection and variable valve timing. The variable camshaft timing system with variable valve timing (VarioCam Plus) continuously adjusts the intake and exhaust camshafts, as well as the opening of the exhaust valves. For example, the powerful torque of 370 Nm at 1,600 – 4,500 rpm allows the driver to overtake with great agility.

A characteristic of all Porsche models, the Macan is able to translate its engine power into exceptionally sporty driving dynamics. This is ensured by Porsche Traction Management (PTM), an active all-wheel steering system in conjunction with a responsive suspension and precise steering. The air suspension with levelling control, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with adaptive dampers, is also available as an option. With a curb weight of just 1,770 kg, the Macan is the lightest SUV produced by Porsche, which makes it extremely agile.

Wide range of standard equipment

The exterior details and interior features of the entry-level Macan set it apart from the higher-performance models. Unique exterior highlights include black side window trim, black brake calipers inside the 18-inch wheels, and an exhaust system with two single stainless steel tailpipes. Most of the standard equipment on the Macan is also available in the high-end “S” models. For example, the Macan comes with a comfortable eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, an Alcantara-covered center console, the latest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), a lane departure warning system, and a powered tailgate.

The new Macan is now available for order in Germany and the European market. The new version will be introduced to the market from June 2016. Porsche Vietnam will also accept orders at the same time. Perfect connectivity on every Porsche model

The new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) makes its debut in the new 911 (911 II) and is standard equipment in all 911 models. In addition to the Carrera models, the 911 Targa models and the top-of-the-line 911 Turbo models are also equipped with this state-of-the-art infotainment package. The new module is also fitted as standard in the new Macan this year. The new 718 Boxster will also feature this infotainment system. Depending on the model, the new generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is available in different standard and optional packages.

The standard price of the new Porsche Macan version, including import tax, special consumption tax and value added tax, is VND 3,032,000,000.
