In the article "Towards new horizons of strategic partnership", published in leading media of various countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that the issue of North Korea's nuclear program can only be resolved through dialogue, provided there are no threats and mutual pressure.
"It is necessary to persuade the parties concerned to engage in direct dialogue. Military statements, pressure or insults will not get us anywhere," he said.
"From Russia's point of view, proposing a solution to stop North Korea's missile and nuclear programs by putting pressure on Pyongyang is a miscalculation and has no future," the Russian President emphasized.
The Kremlin leader added that to ease the escalating tensions in North Korea recently, Russia and China have cooperated to plan to build a 'safe zone' on the peninsula, creating a mechanism for sustainable peace and security in the region.
This safe zone prohibits the use of force, provides comprehensive solutions to all North Korean problems including the production of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles through politics and diplomacy, and establishes a dialogue without any conditions.
