PVF recruits young football talents nationwide
From March 17 to May 1, 2018, the Vietnam Football Talent Development and Investment Fund (PVF) will officially enroll its 10th course - searching for young football talents nationwide.
Direct enrollment at 31 locations, recruiting 40-65 students
Successful candidates will receive free training for 10 years and have the opportunity to become players competing in professional football tournaments at home and abroad.
The target candidates are male teenagers born in 2007, 2008, 2009 and additional candidates born from 2002 to 2006. Candidates will undergo tests including: physical and height test, on-the-spot long jump, 30-meter sprint, passing the ball with the preferred foot and competition. A special feature of the 2018 recruitment is the application of a new set of physical standards and actual competition assessment methods, classified according to each competition position.
To ensure the recruitment of the most talented candidates, the PVF Admissions Committee will directly visit 31 locations in 31 provinces and cities across the country to conduct tests to select about 100 candidates in the preliminary round. From May 15 to June 30, these 100 candidates will practice at PVF to continue to select 40-65 official students.

10 years free training
After being selected, PVF students will be trained by a team of leading domestic and international coaches, including coaches who used to be world-famous players, according to international standard curriculums. Students will also be cared for both physically and mentally in a scientific, modern and humane environment; receive comprehensive training in culture, English, and soft skills to become players who are not only good at their profession, have outstanding physique, physical strength, and health, but also have discipline, ethics, and culture that meet the strict standards of world professional football.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan - Head of PVF's coaching staff said: "We have been expanding cooperation and friendly matches with famous football clubs in the region and the world; at the same time, bringing experts, technology, and European football standards to the Center. Through this recruitment, we hope to find young football talents to train and develop them into Vietnamese players who meet international competition standards."

Established on December 14, 2008, the Vietnam Football Talent Development and Investment Fund (PVF) is a non-profit organization founded by Vingroup Corporation to nurture talented football teenagers across the country to become professional football players with international-class talent, culture and ethics for the purpose of elevating the country's football.

PVF is one of the most successful youth football training centers in Vietnam today. In 2017 alone, 7 PVF students and the Vietnam U18 team won the right to participate in the 2018 AFC U19 Championship; 6 PVF students were in the Vietnam U15 team that won the 2017 Southeast Asian U15 Championship; 6 PVF students were in the Vietnam U16 team that reached the 2018 AFC U16 Championship. In the same year, PVF was the runner-up of the National U19, the champion of the National U15, the champion of the National U17, and the champion of the International Youth ICC in Singapore. Recently, 3 players including Ha Duc Chinh, Bui Tien Dung, and Truong Van Thai Quy contributed with their teammates to the Vietnam U23 team to win the runner-up position at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship. In November 2017, PVF inaugurated the largest youth football training center in Southeast Asia and moved the entire facility from Ho Chi Minh City to Hung Yen. PVF has made remarkable changes in professional quality such as the coaching staff and training curriculum. The most prestigious youth coach in Vietnam is currently Hoang Anh Tuan, who is the Head of the Coaching Department. Along with that is a team of coaches and young football experts from the UK such as Terry Robinson, Andy Preece, Steve Stennett, Nick Dawes, Tom Ryan; PVF Football Director is Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs. |
