Russian army suddenly tested combat readiness on Putin's orders
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that by the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, a surprise combat readiness check has begun in the Central Military District.
"Today (June 24), by decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, surprise inspections in the army and the forces of the Central Military District began," Russian Defense Minister Shoigu said at a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to him, during the surprise inspection from 06:00 (Moscow time), the military command and control of the Central Military District, part of the army and the Southern and Eastern Military Districts, air force units, long-range aviation and military transport of Russia were put on high combat alert. In addition, a number of central military groups of Russia also took part in the inspection.
