Russian troops enter Kiev
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian forces have entered the Obolon district in Kiev, where the Ukrainian army is currently fighting them. Obolon is about 10km from the center of the capital Kiev.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that on the evening of February 24, he had a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the request of Ukrainian President Zelensky, and conveyed the request of the Ukrainian President.
“I had a quick, frank and open conversation with President Putin at President Zelensky’s request. The Ukrainian leader wants President Putin to end the military action as soon as possible and specifically requested a dialogue. President Zelensky asked me for help, because he could not reach Mr. Putin,” said French President Macron, emphasizing that his call with President Putin was only intended to convey the Ukrainian leader’s message.
President Macron also noted that France, as well as other European Union countries, will support and receive Ukrainian refugees.
President Macron added that France will provide Ukraine with 300 million euros in aid and military equipment. Following the upcoming EU sanctions against Russia, Paris will take its own punitive measures against Moscow.
Many loud explosions in the capital Kiev
Several loud explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital Kiev early on February 25. Loud explosions were heard in different parts of Kiev at 04:22 local time (05:22 Moscow time). According to media reports, a total of six explosions were heard.
Weapons are being delivered to Kiev, the Ukrainian armed forces added.
On the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Donbass, eastern Ukraine, and called on Ukrainian troops in the region to lay down their weapons.
Russian forces entered Ukraine from multiple directions, starting with units based in western Russia. Several mechanized formations launched attacks from Belarus and the Crimean peninsula.
The Russian military claimed to have destroyed 74 ground targets in the opening strike, including 11 military airfields.
Ukrainian police said Russia carried out 203 attacks today, with fighting taking place almost everywhere across Ukraine.
Ukraine provides casualty information on both sides, Russia has not commented yet
