Russian army excels in the world in the percentage of modern weapons
The Russian army in 2018 achieved an unprecedented level of modern weaponry, which no army in the world has, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"In total, we have received more than 1.5 thousand weapons and more than 80 thousand pieces of equipment. This is a huge figure. In general, it reached 61.5 percent in terms of modern equipment. Such a level of modernization is not found in any army in the world today," Shoigu said on Monday at a meeting of the Public Council of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Earlier, Shoigu said that the Russian Armed Forces' equipment share of modern weapons in 2019 should be 67%.
