Russian President Putin has ordered troops to the North Korean border after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the launch of his latest missile that could reach the United States.

Tổng thống Nga Putin được cho là đã điều động quân đội đến khu vực biên giới Triều Tiên.

Russian President Putin is said to have mobilized troops to the North Korean border area.

North Korea on November 29 tested the Hwasong-15 ballistic missile "with a range that can cover the US". North Korea's provocative move is raising concerns that war will break out on the Korean peninsula and its consequences could lead to World War III.

In response to this move, according to the British newspaper DailyStar on December 1, despite having a tough stance, Russia also responded by deploying troops to the border between Russia and North Korea.

According to Newsweek, Russian marines are practicing landing operations in North Korea after the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Russian naval infantry reportedly conducted an "amphibious landing", simulating an attack in the North.

A Pacific Fleet spokesman confirmed to state news agency RIA Novosti that the exercise took place within the Klerk training range.

This is not the first time Russia has sent troops to the North Korean border. In September, after a North Korean missile launch, Russian troops were also sent to the North Korean-Russian border.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Russian newspaper RIA Novosti quoted Mr. Nikolai Patrushev, head of the Russian National Security Council, saying about plans for developments in North Korea that Russia "is calculating and preparing. That will not be a surprise to us. We do not rule out the scenario of war and must prevent it from happening at all costs."

According to Mr. Patrushev: "If there is military action, which some countries do not exclude, a series of different troubles will appear, including affecting us." However, the Russian politician also said that Moscow considers diplomacy the only solution to this crisis.

Russia has repeatedly called on the US, its allies and North Korea to stop confrontation and accept the "double freeze" plan that Russia and China both support. According to this plan, the US and South Korea stop joint military exercises, in return, North Korea stops developing nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.
