Military Region 4: Providing national defense and security knowledge training for 38,124 people

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of December 7, the Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 4 held a conference to review the defense and security education work in 2015 and deploy tasks for 2016. Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region, Chairman of the Defense and Security Education Council of the Military Region chaired the conference.

In 2015, the work of national defense and security education in the Military Region was thoroughly grasped and implemented in a synchronous, unified and orderly manner by all levels and sectors, achieving relatively comprehensive results, completing the set goals, targets and tasks. The entire Military Region opened 463 classes to foster national defense and security knowledge for 38,124 people, of which, national defense and security knowledge training for subjects 3 and 4, national defense and security education for students exceeded the set targets.

Through education and training in national defense and security knowledge, we have created a strong change in awareness, responsibility and equipped some military knowledge and skills for cadres, party members and people, contributing to political stability, economic, cultural and social development at the local and grassroots levels.

In 2016, Military Region 4 organized 5 national defense knowledge training courses for target 2 at the Military Region Military School for 350 comrades; directed localities and units to train 40% of those who had not been trained, and coordinated with universities to train teachers and lecturers in national defense and security education according to Decision 607/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2015 of the Prime Minister.
