Military Region 4: Over 1 billion VND to visit and give gifts to policy families on the occasion of July 27

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 5, in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 held the 5th conference (term X) to evaluate the results of military and defense tasks and Party building work in the first 6 months of 2017, and issued a resolution to lead the implementation of tasks in the last 6 months of the year.

Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region; representatives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

In the first 6 months of 2017, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4 focused on comprehensive leadership and direction, focusing on military and defense tasks and Party building work in 2017.

Notably, the Party Committee of the Military Region together with local Party committees and authorities of 6 provinces have paid attention to building and consolidating the national defense, strengthening local military work in the area; strictly maintaining combat readiness work, ensuring political security, social order and safety in the face of extremely complicated developments in the area; continuing to build and consolidate the special solidarity and friendship with Laos...

Military Region 4 mobilized 1,845 officers and soldiers, 51 vehicles to participate in search and rescue; organized inspections of 33 shooting tests, with 100% good and excellent results. Party committees at all levels organized the addition of 150 committee members, dissolved 3 Party cells, and inspected 65 Party organizations.

In addition, visiting, giving gifts, and building gratitude houses for families with meritorious services on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.

Also at the conference, delegates discussed and resolved on directions, goals, targets, policies, and solutions for leading military and defense tasks and Party building in the last 6 months of 2017.
