(Baonghean.vn) - Military Region 4 collected the remains of martyrs along with a comb engraved with the words "Le Si Thanh, peak 622" and "commemorating the Khe Sanh front April 17, 1968".
From April 9-12,Martyrs' Remains Collection TeamEconomic-Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4) has collected the remains of two martyrs along with identified relics at height 500, Tan Hao village, Tan Lien commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province.

Previously, on April 9, 2021, receiving information from Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Loc, a resident in the area, said that while searching for scrap at the 500-meter high point, he discovered a tank suspected to be of a soldier who died in the war.
Immediately after that, the Martyr Remains Collection Team of Economic-Defense Group 337 organized a survey and search in the above area. By April 12, 2021, the team found and collected 2 martyrs' remains at a depth of 40cm, inside the tank, along with relics such as: shoe soles, shoe buttons, belts, balm oil boxes, gun buttons, spoons, hair combs...

In particular, one side of the comb is engraved with the words "Le Si Thanh, peak 622", the other side is engraved with the words "commemorating the Khe Sanh front. April 17, 1968". Currently, the Team is coordinating with the authorities to identify the martyrs and continue to expand the search to the surrounding area.
