Military Region 4 organizes the 9th Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028

On August 10, Military Region 4 held the 9th Military Region Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term.

Attending the congress were representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; the National Defense Trade Union Committee, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the provinces in the North Central region.

During the period of 2018-2023, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the General Department of Politics, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Political Department of Military Region 4 and the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the National Defense Trade Union Committee, activitiesUnionand the workers' movementMilitary Region 4achieved many important results, had steady development steps, and comprehensively completed the goals and targets of the Action Program set forth by the 8th Military Region Trade Union Congress.

The content and methods of operation have many innovations, creativity, efficiency and substance. The working environment, conditions, material and spiritual life of union members and workers have been improved. The emulation movements of the trade union organization have been implemented effectively and in depth.

The Trade Union of Military Region 4 has paid attention to and taken care of the regimes, policies and benefits for union members and workers. The position and role of the Trade Union organization has been increasingly promoted, worthy of being a representative organization caring for and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. The Trade Union of Military Region 4 has actively participated in building a strong and clean Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical"... contributing to the completion of the unit's political tasks, improving the overall quality and combat strength of the armed forces of the Military Region.

Over the past 5 years, 85 collectives and 185 individuals of the Military Region 4 Trade Union have been awarded Flags and Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the General Department of Politics, and the Military Region 4 Command, with the title "Excellent worker, creative worker" being honored at the military level.

During the 2023-2028 term, the 9th Congress of the Military Region 4 Trade Union has set out specific goals and solutions, which are: Strengthening the leadership and direction of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders and political agencies at all levels in trade union work; innovating content and form, strengthening propaganda and education on politics, culture, profession, law enforcement, building trade union organizations, cadres and members; building comprehensively strong "exemplary and typical" agencies and units; thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing resolutions, conclusions and directives of Party committees at all levels.

The Military Region 4 Trade Union effectively organizes emulation movements among cadres, union members, and workers in conjunction with the emulation movement to win of agencies, units, and enterprises; promotes the functions of the trade union in participating in the management of agencies, units, and enterprises, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, and social activities... strengthens the building of trade union organizations, develops union members, builds strong grassroots trade unions, and successfully completes tasks.

With the slogan of action "Courage, intelligence, creativity, dedication and loyalty, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era", the Trade Union of Military Region 4 has chosen 2 breakthroughs in the 2023-2028 term: Focusing on perfecting the Trade Union organization model in accordance with the provisions of law and the organizational structure of the Military Region; innovating the content and form of Trade Union activities suitable for the new situation.

The Congress called on all cadres and union members in the Military Region to unite, determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, strive to compete, and make worthy contributions to the results of completing the political tasks of agencies and units, building a clean and strong Party organization, and a comprehensively strong Military Region.

With the spirit of "Innovation, democracy, solidarity, development", the 9th Congress of the Military Region 4 Trade Union elected 8 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate who are outstanding union officials and members representing more than 3,000 union officials and members from 34 grassroots unions in the entire Military Region to attend the 10th Congress of the Military Trade Union./.
