Military Region 4: Over 97% of military families meet new cultural family standards

(Baonghean.vn)-On March 9, the Population, Family and Children Committee (DS, GĐ& TE) of the Military Region held a conference to review the work of population, family and children in 2015 and deploy tasks for 2016.

In 2015, the work of population, family and children of the Military Region has basically been well implemented, meeting the targets and plans set out. The content of population, family and children work has been included in the Resolution for implementation by leaders at all levels, and the propaganda work has been effectively implemented. The Population, Family and Children Committee at all levels has proactively advised and proposed, received attention and favorable conditions from leaders and commanders, closely coordinated with departments, branches, organizations, and launched movements to raise funds for child protection, give gifts, and support disabled children and children in difficult circumstances. These activities have contributed positively to building exemplary, prosperous and happy military families. Up to now, the entire Military Region has over 97% of military families meeting the new cultural family standards.

Major General Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region, Chairman of the Military Region's Committee for Population, Family and Children, delivered a speech directing the conference.

In 2016, the Population, Family and Child Affairs Committee of Military Region 4 continued to direct the inclusion of population, family and child affairs in the leadership resolutions of Party committees at all levels. Strive for each couple to have 2 children, no cases of violation of the Population - Family Planning policy, no discrimination, no gender selection before birth; build a model military family according to the standards of "Prosperity, equality, progress and sustainable happiness", care for infertile military families, improve the quality of health care, education and protect children's rights.
