Care to ensure long-term life for people in resettlement areas

Before voters expressed their thoughts and aspirations, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Van Mao informed the majority of voters about the expected program and content of the 5th session opening on May 21.
Accordingly, at the upcoming session, the National Assembly will consider and approve 8 draft laws and 1 draft resolution. Notably, the Law on Denunciation (amended); Law on Special Administrative and Economic Units; Law on Cyber Security; Law on Competition, etc.
Also at this session, the National Assembly will give opinions on eight draft laws, such as the Law on Anti-Corruption; the Law on Coast Guard; the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education, etc.
The session will also discuss and decide on socio-economic issues, the National Assembly's supervisory activities and a number of other issues.

With an open, frank and responsible spirit, voters made recommendations to the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries, branches, provinces and districts on many issues.
Voter Nguyen Van Ho - Hamlet 5, Thanh Duc Commune said that currently the process of implementing the Agent Orange regime is still difficult; therefore, he suggested that the State should study and improve the process, when clearly identifying subjects who participated in service from the 17th parallel and below, they should have their injuries assessed first and when they have one of the 17 types of diseases as prescribed, they will proceed to make a record; to avoid the situation where records are made over and over again and many people cannot wait when they are diagnosed with cancer, affecting the rights of the people.
According to voter Ho, the State needs to study and have a policy for relatives of martyrs, because in reality, many people who contributed to the resistance and during their time serving in combat contracted serious illnesses, including many who contracted malaria and then died.

Many voters also mentioned land management, granting of land use right certificates; handing over land from the Protection Forest Management Board to local management; handling of ineffective irrigation systems in the area; some degraded roads need investment...
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc explained many issues.
- In response to the opinion of voter Nguyen Khac Chau - Secretary of the Thanh Son Commune Party Committee on the fact that Ban Ve Hydropower Company has not fully implemented policies for resettled people, specifically in Thanh Son Commune, there are currently 35 households with 192 people who have not yet received 12-month and 24-month food support and people in 4 villages have not been granted rice fields or replacement hill land; the State Auditor General requested the commune to send a document to the National Assembly Delegation to send to the Northern Power Corporation to resolve, ensuring a long-term life for the people.

Also concerned with ensuring people's livelihoods, delegate Ho Duc Phoc noted that Thanh Chuong district and Thanh Duc commune, in the process of receiving the handover of residents from farms, forestry farms, and teams to the management area, need to combine the handover of land in parallel to ensure sustainable livelihoods for the people.
