- Dear comrade, recently Quy Hop has organized a number of seminars to implement the project of developing orange trees in the area. Also, I know that Quy Hop district, together with the Department of Science and Technology and a number of orange producing enterprises in the area, had a working trip to Hoa Binh province to learn about the effectiveness of orange growing?

- That's right, at a workshop discussing the implementation of the Orange Development Project in the district, we heard that Hoa Binh province was implementing the Cao Phong Orange Festival, so we organized a trip to see it with our own eyes.

- Cao Phong oranges must have special qualities. I heard that Cao Phong oranges are “invading” Vinh oranges in some major domestic markets?

- Not exactly. We have a good grasp of the orange production process of gardeners in Cao Phong district. From the stage of selecting varieties, applying science and technology, using biological products and pesticides... Everyone has the same opinion about the production process as in their locality. As for quality, it can be affirmed that Cao Phong oranges are not better than Vinh oranges in general, especially the oranges being produced in Quy Hop area.

- Let's say that the quality of Cao Phong oranges is not as good as Vinh oranges and the value is also lower. But the consumption of their products is very stable...

- The reason is because people have built a brand for Cao Phong oranges very well. Thanks to brand promotion, Cao Phong oranges are known to many consumers. The Vinh orange brand has been around for a long time, ranked 13th among local specialties with Geographical Indications. As for Cao Phong oranges, the brand building has not been long, but Hoa Binh province has paid special attention to Cao Phong oranges. This is demonstrated by the building of a festival for oranges. In 2015, the festival was organized by Cao Phong district, and in 2016, it was raised to the provincial level. Through the festival, the brand promotion is very good. People know that Cao Phong oranges are a specialty that is guaranteed in all aspects...

- As you said, I understand that we need to learn from Hoa Binh province to better promote the Vinh orange brand.

- In agricultural production, Quy Hop pays special attention to orange trees. We have a resolution and a project to develop the orange area, aiming at producing high-quality oranges to expand the market. Through the trip, Quy Hop determined that the government's participation plays a very important role in leading and connecting businesses and gardeners in production, business and brand promotion. We see that we need to pay attention to innovation in promoting the Vinh orange brand. For example, Hoa Binh province's organization of a festival for Cao Phong oranges is really worth learning. In our country, if we had a similar form of promotion for oranges, it would be very good!
