Quang Hai was injured after a collision in the second half. He needed medical attention before he could limp off the field, and was forced to make way for Ha Duc Chinh in the 76th minute.
The Hanoi midfielder was then wrapped in bandages and ice applied to his left ankle - his dominant foot. According to coach Park Hang-seo, Quang Hai's initial test results were quite positive. He may only have a superficial injury, and will quickly recover and join the team for the upcoming Asian Games in Indonesia.

Quang Hai was the hero of the U23 team that made history at the U23 Asian Cup. He scored four goals - most of them masterpieces - on the journey to bring Vietnam to the final against Uzbekistan.
In that match, Quang Hai was the one who scored the equalizer 1-1 with a beautiful free kick, but Vietnam lost 1-2 because they conceded a goal in the last minute of the second extra time.
In the friendly match at My Dinh Stadium, Quang Hai also had a few shots but failed. One of them was a low shot from about 35 meters, forcing the Uzbekistan goalkeeper to dive and push it away at the beginning of the second half.
