Que Phong: More than 2,000 voters prepare to vote early

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 20, Que Phong border district had 16 villages in 5 communes with more than 2,000 voters going to early vote. Up to now, according to the reporter's records, the preparation work has been completed, ready to welcome the big festival.

The areas allowed to vote early in Que Phong district are mostly remote villages with difficult roads and no phone signal in some villages. Therefore, the district sent officials to the area a few days in advance.

Tri Le border commune has 8 Mong ethnic villages that are allowed to vote early on May 20. Due to the local characteristics, the commune election committee has had many good ways such as through the clan leaders to mobilize their relatives to participate in voting fully. Along with propaganda in the common language, ethnic languages ​​are used.

Mr. Va Ba De, Party Secretary of Huoi Moi 2 village, said that in order to prepare for the election smoothly, the village and the commune's steering committee held meetings with the people and disseminated information about the election day. They were instructed on how to write and put their ballots in the ballot box.

Ms. Gia Thi Nhia, Huoi Moi 2 village, Tri Le commune said: “This is the second time I have voted. Although the local people have a custom of farming far from the village. But my fellow villagers and I have returned to the village to participate in the voting tomorrow.”

In Cam Muon commune, where voters from Huoi May village went to vote early, all preparations are ready. In a quick discussion, Mr. Lu Thanh Binh, Chairman of Cam Muon commune People's Committee said:

“There were 105 Huoi May voters participating in the pre-election at Cam Noc. Due to the remote terrain, 25km from the commune center, yesterday (May 18), the commune election committee assigned the youth union to go in advance to prepare. And this afternoon (May 19), members of the steering committee continued to go in to support the election.”

Banners and national flags promoting the election were hung in villages in Nam Nhoong commune.

In Que Son commune, voter Mong Van Xieng, Pieng Mon village said: "My nephew went to the field and told me that on May 20th, we would be voting. He also said that in the village, people were hanging flags and announcing the list of candidates, it was very bustling! Therefore, I have been home for the past few days to look at the list and information of candidates to go vote tomorrow."

Along with strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to participate in voting fully, ensuring security and order at polling stations is also a top priority for communes.

Mr. Sam Le Luong, Chief of Que Son Commune Police, said: The Commune Police have coordinated with the Commune Military to divide into groups to set up posts at 5 polling stations in the commune. They proactively grasp the actual situation and prepare all means and support tools to ensure security and order on election day, especially in the 3 early voting villages.
