Que Phong: Over 61 billion to build infrastructure for poor communes

(Baonghean.vn) - As one of the 64 poor districts in the country, Que Phong currently has 165 extremely disadvantaged villages eligible for investment under the Government's Program 135.

From 2011 to now, Que Phong district has invested in building 67 new infrastructure works for 20 extremely difficult villages with a total cost of over 61 billion VND. Of which, there are 16 educational works, 15 cultural works, 16 irrigation works, 11 traffic works..

Program 135 has been implemented in Que Phong district since 1998. The projects have been effective, promoting socio-economic development, contributing to poverty reduction in the district. Up to now, the poverty rate has decreased from 58.22% in 2011 to 33.27% in 2015.
