Quy Hop: Arrested 26 cases, 45 subjects for drug crimes

Reporting at the conference summarizing the 2017 National Defense and Security tasks and deploying the 2018 tasks on the morning of January 12, Quy Hop District Police said that in 2017Established 11 special projects to fight and investigate 63/71 criminal cases, arresting 168 subjects.

The seized exhibits included 35 debt books with a total value of over 17.5 billion VND; 95 million VND in cash; 35 motorbikes; 1 television, 1 gold necklace with a total value of about 520 million VND; 2 homemade guns; 130 kg of explosives; 200 electric detonators.

In addition, the authorities have fought to eradicate 1 locality, 4 hotspots and 16 complicated points of drug buying, selling and using, discovered and arrested 26 cases and 45 drug criminals.

The seized exhibits included 1 heroin cake; 223.3 grams of heroin; 220.7 grams of crystal meth; 24.8 grams of synthetic drugs. Organized community drug rehabilitation for 58 addicts, created 24 files to send drug addicts to compulsory drug rehabilitation.

In the fight against firecrackers, 11 cases with 14 subjects were discovered and arrested for illegal trading and storage of firecrackers, and 61.4 kg of various types of firecrackers were seized.

Also in 2017, in Quy Hop area, there were 8 traffic accidents, killing 12 people and injuring 6 people.
