Quy Hop: Giving support money to families with drowned children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 7, the Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district came to give 5 million VND in support to the family of Mr. Sam Van Hung in Dan village, Chau Loc commune, whose son, Sam Hong Manh (born in 2009), a first grader at Chau Loc primary school, drowned on May 31.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district and Chau Loc commune presented support money to the family of Mr. Sam Van Hung.

That day, because his parents were not home, Manh and three other friends went swimming at Chin Chan pond in Dan village and drowned. Manh's friends ran back to call for help but it was too late. Manh's family is very poor.

Immediately after the drowning incident, leaders of the People's Committee of Quy Hop district also visited and supported Manh's family with 5 million VND. The local government of Chau Loc commune also came to encourage and express condolences to the family, hoping that they will overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
