Quynh Luu: Training on speaking and providing information to the press

(Baonghean.vn) - 150 delegates were trained on the contents of the 2016 Press Law, the responsibilities of heads of state administrative agencies, spokespersons, and authorized persons to speak and provide information to the press.

On the morning of June 9, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district organized a training course on speaking and providing press information for 150 delegates who are leaders of departments, branches, and mass organizations of the district, heads of agencies, units, chairmen, and cultural officers of 33 communes and towns in the district.

At the training session, delegates were informed by Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Information and Communications about the contents of the Press Law 2016; Regulation No. 62/2013 of the Provincial People's Committee promulgating regulations on speaking, providing, publishing and processing information in the press in Nghe An province.

It clearly stipulates the responsibilities of heads of state administrative agencies, spokespersons, and authorized persons to speak and provide information to the press. Decree No. 09/2017 of the Government provides detailed regulations on speaking and providing information to the press by state administrative agencies.

In addition, delegates were also instructed on a number of issues regarding speaking and providing information to the press; a general overview of the characteristics and activities of press agencies in the province; communication skills and public relations with the press, especially skills in handling media crises, skills in answering press interviews, press conference organization procedures, etc.

The training course aims to provide basic and necessary skills for those working in foreign information and those providing information to the press in agencies, departments, branches, organizations, district unions and People's Committees of communes and towns.

Thereby, contributing to helping the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Quynh Luu district strengthen leadership, direction and supervision of foreign information work and speaking work, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on this work.
