Disappointing debut, U23 Uzbekistan coach threatens U23 Vietnam
Uzbekistan coach aims to win against Olympic Vietnam in the final match of the international U23 tournament even though they only drew 0-0 with Oman in the opening match.
On the afternoon of August 3, Olympic Uzbekistan had their first match of the U23 International Tournament against U23 Oman. Despite dominating the majority of the match, the Central Asian representative still could not get the victory and had to accept a 0-0 draw.
Speaking after the match, Uzbekistan coach Nuraliev Dilshod said: "In this match, only two or three of our players played at their best. I wanted the team to win but in the end the players couldn't do that."
"The weather in Hanoi caused us many difficulties and the players could not adapt in time for this match."
"Regarding the final match with Olympic Vietnam, I think this will be a difficult match as Vietnam has the strength and does not have to compete under adverse weather conditions like in the U23 Asian tournament. However, we still aim to win."
Meanwhile, Oman Olympic coach Azani revealed that his team will field many players born in 1999 and 2000 and matches like this will be very useful for the West Asian representative.
In the next match, Oman will meet Vietnam and Uzbekistan will face Palestine.
