Many professional and interdisciplinary professor title councils, after review, still maintain their original decisions.
Immediately after receiving instructions from the Chairman of the State Council of Professors (SPC) on implementing the request to review the quality of professors and associate professors this year, the industry and interdisciplinary title councils began implementing the instructions from the days before the Lunar New Year.
To date, some councils have completed and submitted their reports to the President of the State Council. Others are still in the process of review.

However, many councils after reviewing still kept the original results.
Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoi - Chairman of the Council of Professors of Mathematics - said that immediately after receiving instructions from the Chairman of the Council of Professors of Mathematics, the Mathematics Council started reviewing on February 9. "This year, our entire review and approval process is done online, very fast, convenient and without meetings. Each council member who has reviewed any documents can review their own review. At the same time, the chairman of the council and the permanent vice chairmen can also access all the review processes for inspection."
Professor Ha Huy Khoi also said that the results after the review still maintained the original results. “The number of qualified professor and associate professor candidates of the Mathematics Council is often less than that of other councils. This year, the Mathematics Council has 1 professor and 15 associate professors. In particular, the quality of this year's applications is very good. This year's professor candidates have 33 international articles in the ISI list, including articles published in top 5 and top 10 journals - the best possible journals. And the average associate professor candidates have 15.7 international ISI articles each,” he said.
At the Animal Husbandry - Veterinary - Aquaculture Inter-sectoral Council for Professors, Dr. Tu Quang Hien, the Council Chairman also said that the review of the candidates' profiles had been completed and the results had not changed from the beginning. All profiles were checked and reviewed in accordance with the guidelines of the Animal Husbandry Inter-sectoral Council for Professors. Professor Hien also said that up to now, the Animal Husbandry Council had not had any complaints. The number of candidates meeting the standards for Professors and Associate Professors this year of this Council was 4 Professors and 27 Associate Professors compared to 2016 when it was 2 Professors and 13 Associate Professors.
The review results remain the same as the original and are similar to the Linguistics Council.
Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Them, Chairman of the Council, shared that the Council has notified all members to re-examine the documents. In any necessary cases, it will be referred to the National Council for Professors for reconsideration.
Professor Them said that although there were also anonymous questions via email about some cases, the council had resolved them and so far there were no further questions or complaints. He said that there was nothing unusual about the candidate profiles this year at the Linguistics Council. The number of qualified professors and associate professors in 2017 at the Linguistics Council also increased according to the general trend - including 1 professor and 24 associate professors, compared to 0 professors and 10 associate professors in 2016. The rate of "successful" candidates compared to the number of submitted profiles was 83%.
Sharing about the review situation of the Interdisciplinary Council of History - Archaeology - Ethnology, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang, Chairman of the Council, said that his council has completed the review and sent a report to the Chairman of the National Council of Archaeology and Ethnology on February 20. As of February 16, all council members reaffirmed that all documents had no problems, he said.
Meanwhile, there are also some councils that are continuing to review such as the Council of Literature or the Council of Earth Sciences and Mining.
Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Chairman of the Earth Science and Mining Council, said that up to now, the council is still conducting the review according to the correct procedure.
“All applications are considered equally, regardless of whether the candidate is a leader or non-leader, manager or non-manager,” he affirmed.
As requested by the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the National Council for the Promotion of Public Administration must report the results of the review before February 20. The Chairmen of the sectoral and inter-sector Councils for the Promotion of Public Administration must report the results to the Chairman of the National Council for the Promotion of Public Administration before February 18. However, because the requested review time coincides with the Lunar New Year holiday, the Chairman of the National Council for the Promotion of Public Administration, Minister Phung Xuan Nha, sent a dispatch requesting the Prime Minister to allow the deadline for reporting the review results to be extended until February 28.
