(Baonghean.vn) - The huge amount of waste after Tet has overloaded the collection work, affecting the lives and activities of Nghe An people.

Along National Highway 46 passing through Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen districts... it is not difficult to see giant garbage dumps appearing after Tet. At the garbage collection point in Xuan Tuong commune (Thanh Chuong), there is a sign that only allows garbage to be collected on the 8th, 10th, and 28th of the month for the collection force to collect during the day. However, on the afternoon of February 14 (the 3rd day of Tet), garbage was illegally collected with a large amount of garbage, overflowing National Highway 46. Photo: NC
Also on Highway 46, through Nam Giang Commune, Nam Dan District, a spontaneous garbage dump appeared on the morning of February 15. According to local residents, this dump only appeared after Tet, but no force has come to collect and process it. Photo: NC
It is known that Nam Giang commune has signed a contract with Nam Dan District Green Tree Environment Company to collect garbage once a week. On National Highway 46, dumping garbage is strictly prohibited, however, after Tet, people have arbitrarily dumped garbage in the wrong place. The main amount of garbage is packaging waste, Tet food, giving off a foul smell. Photo: NC

The Ta Lam dyke running from Nam Dan district to Hung Nguyen is also a hot spot for littering. After Tet, the amount of waste discharged is many times higher than usual. The leader of Hung Nguyen Green Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company said: "After Tet, the amount of waste in the district is estimated to increase 5 times compared to normal days, overloading is inevitable." Faced with the situation of waste overload after each Tet holiday, environmental companies have now increased workers and vehicles to collect waste promptly, avoiding prolonged congestion that affects people's lives. Photo: NC
