Falling into the pond at home, a nearly 2m tall man tragically drowned
(Baonghean.vn) - Neighbors came to visit, called repeatedly but did not hear the homeowner answer while the door was still open, so they went into the house and saw the victim's body floating on the surface of the fish pond in front of the house.
On the morning of May 13, the People's Committee of Quynh Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district confirmed that a man had just fallen into a pond and died tragically.
Accordingly, at around 6pm on May 12, a neighbor of 52-year-old Nguyen Xuan Du (resident of Hamlet 7, Quynh Hoa Commune, Quynh Luu District) came to visit his house. After calling for a long time but seeing no response from Mr. Du, everyone went into the yard and discovered Mr. Du's body floating on the surface of the fish pond in front of the house. Immediately, people shouted to each other to jump into the pond to save the victim, but when they pulled him to shore, Mr. Du had died.
It is known that the victim's circumstances are very difficult, he is a person of exceptional height (nearly 2 meters tall). His wife left him, and his son went to work far away, leaving him alone.
This morning, his relatives buried him according to local customs.
