Going swimming together, husband drowns, pregnant wife hospitalized

The tragic incident happened at Quynh Nghia beach (Quynh Luu district).

According to people present, at around 4:30 p.m. on May 13, while swimming in the sea, a pregnant woman named Tu, from Nghia Thuan commune (Thai Hoa town) was unfortunately swept away by the waves.
Seeing this, Ms. Tu's husband ran out to help. However, due to the sudden strong wind and big waves, both husband and wife were drowned.
Discovering the incident, Mr. Hai (a local resident) quickly swam out to save the people. Although he was able to bring the couple to shore, he was only able to save his pregnant wife. The husband did not survive.
The wife was then taken to the hospital by onlookers for emergency treatment. The body of the unfortunate husband was handed over to his family after being notified by the authorities./.
