The 9,000 tonnage Ocean Sky ship is "eating" 7,800 tons of white stone exported to Japan (Viet Nhat Stone Company). In addition, on the Orient King ship, Biomass Fuel Vietnam Co., Ltd. (100% Japanese capital, invested in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park in 2018, with a total investment of 25 million USD) also made the second shipment of wood pellets of the year to Japan. Thus, in 2 quarters, Biomass Fuel Vietnam Co., Ltd. exported 15,000 tons of wood pellets to Japan. This is an FDI enterprise producing biomass wood pellets, a clean, environmentally friendly product, used as fuel for industrial factories and thermal power plants.

Mr. Yen Van Phuc - Deputy Director of Cua Lo Loading and Unloading Enterprise said: Total outputgoods through the portThe first 6 months of the year are expected to reach 2.350 million tons, up 20% over the same period. In the context of fierce competition between ports in the region, we are interested in expanding the market and basically fulfilling the contracts signed with customers, while upgrading equipment for loading and unloading,...

However, besides some items with stable growth rates, some items such as: Wood chips, stone, animal feed... all decreased. White stone products in May 2021 reached 35,313 tons, down 3.59%; Animal feed reached 13,708 tons, down 28.38% over the same period in 2020.

Or wood chip products reached 35,790 tons, down 29.05% over the same period in 2020. According to some businesses, the reason is that in the past time, paper raw material businesses have encountered difficulties in purchasing input materials; Some raw material suppliers have now shifted to supplying raw materials to wood peeling factories.

A representative of a ship owner said that at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, the Covid-19 epidemic affected the time it took to complete procedures and incurred additional costs... In addition, the volume of goods transported by sea was also affected by the lack of space on ships and a lack of empty containers, causing the import and export of goods to slow down.
