Morning of May 15: 20 more cases; Bac Giang has a new outbreak in an industrial park
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, Bac Giang province has 121 Covid-19 cases. Of which, 117 are company workers.
The Ministry of Health's morning news on May 15 said that there were 20 more Covid-19 cases recorded domestically, including 15 in Bac Giang, 2 in Lang Son, 1 in Vinh Phuc, 1 in Hanoi, and 1 in Dak Lak.
Currently, Bac Giang province has 121 Covid-19 cases. Of these, 117 are workers from companies. Notably, while the authorities are actively controlling the outbreak at Van Trung Industrial Park (Viet Yen district), a new outbreak has appeared at Quang Chau Industrial Park (Viet Yen district).

On the evening of May 14, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Industrial Parks Management Board of Bac Giang province, said that a new outbreak occurred at Hosiden Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau Industrial Park, Viet Yen district) with 12 Covid-19 cases. "Hosiden Company has about 6,000 workers. The workers will be sampled throughout the night to screen for Covid-19 cases. It is expected that by the afternoon of May 15, we will have the results so that we can analyze and assess the source of the infection and the extent of the spread," said Mr. Ngoc.
Meanwhile, also on the evening of May 14, Mr. Le Anh Duong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province signed a document to send to the Provincial Police, the Department of Health, the Management Board of the province's industrial parks and the People's Committee of Lang Giang district to clarify the cause of the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Accordingly, in Bac Giang, among the 117 workers infected with Covid-19, many went to work by the Hoang Cu bus company in Lang Giang district. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Health, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, Lang Giang District People's Committee and relevant agencies to verify and clarify the cause and responsibility of Hoang Cu bus company for strict handling according to the law.
As of 6 p.m. on May 14, Vietnam had a total of 2,377 domestic cases and 1,459 imported cases. The number of new cases since April 27 is 807.
