Man hit and killed by truck while crossing the street to hail a taxi
(Baonghean.vn) - It was raining heavily, a man crossed the street to call a taxi to go home but was run over by a truck and died on the spot.
The above incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. on September 18 on National Highway 1A, through Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district.

According to people who witnessed the accident, at the time, Mr. Ho Sy Loi (50 years old, residing in hamlet 11, Quynh Hoa commune) had just gotten off a passenger bus traveling from Hanoi to the intersection, Quynh Hau commune.
Due to the heavy rain, Mr. Loi crossed the street to call a taxi home. At that moment, a truck with license plate 49C - 18029 traveling from Vinh to Hanoi suddenly collided head-on. The strong collision caused the victim to die on the spot.
After the accident, the Quynh Hau Commune Police Department and the Quynh Luu District Traffic Police Team were present at the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
It is known that the intersection of Quynh Hau commune is considered a black spot for traffic accidents. Every year, dozens of accidents occur on this road, killing 3-4 people.
