Accordingly, after the opening speech of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, the National Assembly will listen to the Report on "Socio-economic situation in 2015 and the 5 years 2011-2015; directions and tasks for the 5 years 2016-2020 and 2016".

Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Nguyen Van Giau presented the Report on the review and assessment of the implementation results of the National Assembly's Resolution on the 2015 socio-economic development plan and an overview of the 2011-2015 five-year results; and the 2016 socio-economic development plan.

The Government's Report focuses on assessing the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of the year, forecasting the possibility of implementing the 2015 socio-economic development plan and the 2016 socio-economic development plan.

With the great efforts, endeavors and determination of the entire Party, people and army, the effective supervision of the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies, the focused and drastic direction of the Government and Prime Minister, the macro-economy continues to be stable, the economy continues to recover clearly; inflation is controlled at a low level; foreign exchange reserves increase rapidly, reaching the highest level ever; interest rates are relatively stable...

GDP growth rate reached the highest level in the past 5 years. Exports maintained growth momentum. State budget revenue, especially domestic revenue, achieved quite well compared to the same period...

However, in addition to the achieved results, the socio-economic situation still faces many difficulties and challenges, requiring all levels and sectors to make efforts to overcome difficulties, firmly maintain the goal of stabilizing the macro-economy, improve policy response capacity to proactively respond, exploit favorable aspects, strive to exceed targets.

At the press conference announcing the agenda of the 10th session taking place on October 19, Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that the National Assembly will spend 19 days discussing, considering and passing 18 laws, 16 resolutions and giving opinions on 8 draft laws.

In order to continue implementing and institutionalizing the 2013 Constitution, at this session, the National Assembly focused on reviewing and approving important draft laws in the judicial field such as investigation, prosecution, supervision, trial, and execution of sentences...

At the same time, the National Assembly will spend time discussing and giving opinions on many laws related to human rights and civil rights in accordance with the spirit of the 2013 Constitution to perfect the rule of law state of the people, by the people, for the people.

The question and answer session at the 10th session still lasted for 2.5 days but with the change of questioning in general instead of questioning in specific areas.
