This morning (February 28), the 18th term People's Council of Nghe An province, term 2021 - 2026, opened the 12th session.

In his opening speech, emphasizing the significance and importance of the contents presented at the 12th Session, on behalf of the session chair, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province Thai Thanh Quy respectfully requested the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote intelligence, solidarity, democracy, carefully study the documents, participate in contributing quality opinions, as a basis for the Provincial People's Council to consider and decide on the contents with high results, meeting the requirements and aspirations of voters and people of the province.

After the opening session, the People's Council delegates dismissed two members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to transfer to other jobs; at the same time, they voted on the draft Resolution on confirming the results of dismissal from the position of Provincial People's Committee member for the 2021-2026 term.

Next, the Provincial People's Council will elect 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, expected to be assigned to the following sectors: Agriculture and Rural Development; Planning and Investment; Health. The Provincial People's Council will vote on a draft Resolution on confirming the results of the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In the meeting agenda, after listening to the representative of the Provincial People's Committee's leadership briefly reporting on the submissions and draft resolutions submitted to the meeting and the representative of the Provincial People's Council's Committees briefly reporting on the results of the examination of the submissions and draft resolutions submitted to the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will discuss and approve 7 submissions and draft resolutions submitted to the meeting related to public investment and some other important contents.

Specifically, 7 draft resolutions submitted to the meeting include:

Resolution giving opinions on adjusting the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021-2025 using central budget capital.

Resolution on handling the remaining undisbursed capital under the 2022 public investment plan from local budget sources.

Resolution promulgating the list of public career services using the State budget in the fields of culture, family, physical education and sports in Nghe An province.

Resolution on investment policy for the project: Renovation and upgrading of the road from Tan An commune intersection at DT.534B to Dong Van commune, Tan Ky district.

Resolution on investment policy for the project: Renovation and upgrading of canals in the Southern Nghe An Irrigation System.

Resolution on investment policy for the project: Construction of new Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (phase 2).

Resolution on adjusting the investment policy of the project: Tourist route along Ban Mong reservoir, Quy Chau district.
