White stone mine collapses in Quy Hop, 4 people injured and dead

(Baonghean.vn)- According to initial information, 4 people were crushed by rocks, including a male worker about 27 years old who was found dead in a quarry collapse in Quy Hop (Nghe An).

The white stone mine collapse accident on National Highway 48C in Chau Hong Commune, Quy Hop District occurred at 3:00 p.m. on December 16.

According to local people at that time, they suddenly heard a loud crash and ran out to witness dozens of white rocks rolling down from the high mountain onto a group of workers mining at the foot of the mountain, burying 4 workers on the spot.

After more than 2 hours of searching and rescuing with the participation of dozens of local people and the mine owner, 3 male workers were brought up in a very critical condition and taken by ambulance to Quy Hop District General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At 5:00 p.m. the same day, the fourth victim was found dead.
