Billionaire Jack Ma can be seen as a symbol of the benefits of globalization when he founded the e-commerce platform Alibaba in 1999 and now becomes China's richest billionaire.
According to CNBC, at Alibaba's Gateway17 conference in Detroit, USA, billionaire Jack Ma said that in the next three decades, "people will work 4 hours/day and maybe only 4 days/week", the billionaire predicted,
“My grandfather worked 16 hours a day in the farmland and thought he was very busy, we work eight hours every five days a week and we are very busy too,” Mr. Ma shared.
Notably, that's the same figure as famous economist John Maynard Keynes predicted in 1930, when he said that in 100 years the workweek would be much shorter, around 15 hours/week, as automation increasingly takes care of people's material needs.
Besides, billionaire Jack Ma also said that people in the future will be able to take big vacations in many far away places.
“Today, the average person travels to 30 places, but 30 years from now, they will probably visit 300 places,” he said.
