Accordingly, answering a reporter's question about the progress of deploying free wireless internet service (wifi) coverage in the city, Ms. Phan Lan Tu, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, said: The Department has proposed free wifi coverage in some locations such as the old town, tourist attractions, and public places.
Accordingly, the old quarter in the central district, tourist areas and public areas - places where many people gather such as bus stations and airports - have been proposed by the Department of Information and Communications, but according to Ms. Lan Tu, how to implement it still needs to consult with the leaders of Hanoi City.
Previously in July, Hanoi City also installed free Wifi on 200 buses, including bus route 86 (Hanoi Railway Station - Noi Bai Airport), tested on routes 11 (Thong Nhat Park - University of Agriculture) and 12 (Nghia Do Park - Dai Ang).
