Previously, at the ceremony announcing the decision to establish the Cyber Warfare Command, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that in modern warfare, cyberspace is considered the fifth combat environment closely linked with combat in the air, on land, at sea and in space.
Cyber warfare has become a basic method of warfare that plays an important role in wars that use high-tech weapons. Currently, many countries have established cyber warfare forces to protect national sovereignty.
According to the Prime Minister, in the current period, with the complicated, potentially unstable and unpredictable developments in the world, the region and the East Sea, the protection of cyberspace contributes to firmly protecting national sovereignty, which has been clearly identified and directed by our Party and State from an early stage.
Therefore, the announcement of the establishment of the Cyber Warfare Command today demonstrates the Party and State's trust in our army in assigning combat missions on the new front.
